Happy Birthday to me… What a wild day I had on my birthday! The weather was so incredibly hot, and in my office the air conditioning was non-existent. Then the afternoon storm came and my whole family got locked out of the house in the rain… Yep, what a day. But of course, this was all made up for with the awesome cake, and beautiful presents that I received from my family and internship! I am so lucky to have gotten what I did, and I’m so over the moon with the little and big presents I got, and I’m so appreciative of my family for doing it. So let’s get on with my ramble…
Youngblood Lipstick in Kranberry
Youngblood Pressed Mineral Blush in Blossom
Youngblood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Timeless
Mini Milk Bottle
Copper Tea Light Candleholder
Wheel&Barrow Orange Polka Dot Paper Straws
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette
Topshop Pleated Midi Skirt
Country Denim Australia Corduroy Skirt
Soniq Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Copper Jewellery Bowl
Country Road Gold Studs
Mecca Cosmetica Hands On Transforming Hand Cream
Typo Copper Coat Hangers
Country Road Toiletry Bag
I always appreciate the small things as much as the bigger, slightly more expensive things. Like the milk bottle is such a cute, creative idea to put a single flower in to liven up my bedroom, or store fine jewellery in. Even the little copper goodies I got are so thoughtful, as my family knows I am obsessed with anything copper and bronze. I’m so excited to try out my new wireless Bluetooth speaker. I don’t know anything about this kind of technology and how it works, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon enough and enjoy a bit of Adele booming out from my room. I’m also really in love with this Topshop skirt. The fabric feels heavy and weighted, but not thick. The pleats give the skirt a straight shape, but still enough room to move around and look very put together.
And of course, a birthday wouldn’t be a birthday if makeup gifts weren’t involved! I’m already in love with my Gwen Stefani palette. The fifteen gorgeous shades are so beautifully pigmented, and slide so easily on the lid, it is a real gift to my face. My absolute favourite shade is Punk, a burgundy shade that is a perfect smoky replacement to eyeliner. I was also kind enough to be gifted some Youngblood cosmetics from my awesome internship, so I can’t wait to try those goodies, and write up a blog post on my first impressions (stay tuned for that…).
I love a good birthday haul, even when I didn’t need a thing! What have you bought recently that you just love?
